WORK WITHIN YOUR MINDSET | SEE THE WORLD TRANSFORMING ACCORDINGLY

NV Paulose, Chairman, Global TV +91 98441 82044

When I step back and observe the ten people I interact with most regularly, my closest colleagues, friends, and family, I see this same pattern mirroring back at me. They are capable, well-intentioned people, yet so often exhausted by rushing from one quick win to the next. We were all surviving on easy pickings, reacting to a world that demands speed over substance. But I’ve come to realize that true success isn’t found lying on the ground waiting to be gathered; it is an internal alchemy. Success is what I must first cook within my own mindset. Cooking is a deliberative, transformative process. It requires raw ingredients, sustained thermal energy, patience, and a well-structured recipe. To move beyond the culture of quick fixes, we must equip our communities to cook success from within. The most potent catalyst in this kitchen of human potential is storytelling. Stories do not merely entertain; they reframe perspectives, align collective intent, and transform fragmented groups into unified, high-performing ecosystems.

I had to ask myself: what happens if I change my own recipe first? I deliberately shifted my mindset from frantic extraction to patient cultivation. I stopped reacting to every urgent demand with anxiety and started responding with grounded, deliberate focus. I stopped grabbing for quick fixes. The shift was entirely internal, but the external impact was undeniable. By simply changing my own posture, the behavior of those ten people began to transform. When I stopped rushing, the anxiety in our interactions dissolved, and they began to pause and think deeper alongside me. By mastering the alchemy within my mindset, I transformed my thought process; I invited everyone around me to stop scavenging and start cooking together.

1. The Architecture of Mindset: Shift from Control to Connection

To build an ecosystem where everyone prospers, we must dismantle the outdated organizational models that constrain human energy. Traditional hierarchies function under an architecture of control; a paradigm of “I Control You”. In these setups, information flows upward for validation and downward as directives. People learn to perform for authority rather than solve real challenges. They target low-hanging fruit because it satisfies immediate oversight without incurring risk. To cook sustainable success, we must shift to ICU: Informal Collaborative Units, anchored by the principle of “I See You”.

├────────────────────────────┬─────────────────────────────┤
│ "I Control You" │ "I See You" │

│ • Driven by Surveillance │ • Driven by Recognition │

│ • Selective Transparency │ • Universal Visibility │
│ • Waits for Authority │ • Initiates Direct Action │
└────────────────────────────┴─────────────────────────────┘

When we replace surveillance with true recognition, visibility ceases to be a tool for judgment. It becomes a platform for mutual awareness. “I See You” acknowledges another person’s capacity, presence, and potential. In an environment where people feel genuinely seen, they stop settling for easy pickings and begin investing in complex, meaningful outcomes. Storytelling is the precise engine that drives this shift: it translates raw human experience into shared understanding, weaving trust directly into the social fabric.

2. The Power of Small Groups: What Ten People Can Create

There is a common misconception that changing the world or creating massive economic value requires vast institutional power. In reality, significant movements begin in small, non-threatening units. Consider the mathematical and relational dynamics within a group of ten people.

  • A single group of 10 contains 45 potential one-to-one direct relationships.
  • It holds 120 unique three-person combinations and 252 five-person sub-groups.
  • In total, 10 individuals can form 1,023 distinct collaborative configurations.

                     / │ \
            [ Person 2 ]──┼──[ Person 3 ]
               │ \ │ / │
               │ \ │ / │
    [ Person 10 ] [ TEN PEOPLE ] [ Person 4 ]
               │ / │ \ │
               │ / │ \ │
            [ Person 9 ]──┼──[ Person 5 ]
                     \ │ /

     • 45 Direct Bilateral Links
     • 1,023 Total Group Combinations
     • 1 Non-Threatening Micro-Ecosystem

The true power does not reside in the sheer number 10, but in the density of relationships cultivated among those 10 individuals. Ten diverse minds, combining expertise in technology, finance, communication, logistics, and creative problem-solving, form a complete organic ecosystem. When these ten people choose to build a non-threatening movement, they do not waste energy identifying an enemy or fighting old structures. Instead, they function as a living laboratory. They experiment, support one another, share knowledge, and cook success from the ground up.

3. Practical Exercise: The 10 × 10 × 10 Focus Matrix

To translate this mindset shift from abstract theory into active reality, every participant must map their immediate sphere of influence. This core exercise converts isolated individuals into interconnected engines of opportunity. Take a pen and notebook, and explicitly map out your personal network across three specific dimensions:

┌───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ THE 10 × 10 × 10 FOCUS MATRIX │
├───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤
│ 1. 10 EFFECTIVE PEOPLE │
│ (Known figures of influence, action, and capability) │
├───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤
│ 2. 10 LOCAL PLACES │
│ (Key nodes, institutions, and hubs in your region) │
├───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤
│ 3. 10 GLOBAL DESTINATIONS │

└───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘

Step 1: Name 10 Effective People in Your Known Circle

Identify ten individuals in your immediate or secondary network who demonstrate high capability, integrity, and drive. These are not distant celebrities; they are mentors, problem-solvers, organizers, and builders within reach. Writing their names anchors your awareness in existing human capital.

Step 2: Name 10 Places Around You

Document ten critical locations, institutions, or hubs within your immediate geographical region, innovation centers, educational institutes, nearby Villages, or community spaces. These represent the physical nodes where local resources can be mobilized and activities streamlined.

Step 3: Name 10 Places Abroad Linked to Local People

List ten global cities or foreign regions where members of your local diaspora or community currently reside. This links your immediate circle directly to the global economy, creating seamless channels for international collaborations, resource exchange, and cultural flow.

4. The 10 × 10 × 10 Formation: Scaling Without Loss of Connection

When you combine the power of storytelling with the Focus Matrix, you activate the 10 × 10 × 10 Formation, a structured framework designed for responsible scale.

[1,000 STUDENTS] [1,000 STUDENTS] [1,000 STUDENTS]...

 TOTAL HIGH-TRUST UNIT = 1,110 PARTICIPANTS

In this model:

  • 10 Mentors support and guide 100 Trainers (each Mentor supporting 10 Trainers).
  • 100 Trainers directly empower 1,000 Students/Executors (each Trainer supporting 10 Students).

This forms a cohesive, high-trust operational unit of 1,110 people. It is large enough to execute projects of significant scale, yet small enough that every individual remains visible, supported, and valued.

This structure does not establish rigid social classes; rather, it distributes levels of responsibility. A Mentor’s duty is to lift the Trainer; a Trainer’s duty is to develop the Student. The dynamic is fundamentally circular, meaning knowledge and opportunities flow continuously across all levels.

5. From Linear Extraction to Circular Empowerment

The traditional pursuit of low-hanging fruit relies on a linear economic model: extract, consume, move on. In contrast, cooking success within your mindset requires a circular framework: We work everything within the framework of Storytelling. We are not initiating anything with a master plan. We suggest that Gen Z choose their mindset based on what is possible and to transform what is happening in the absence of a compelling mindset. Storytelling is the medium that completes this loop. Speak your mind and listen to others. Allow transformation to take place.

When one unit of 10 creates a breakthrough, their story is shared across the spectrum. This narrative provides the blueprint, confidence, and momentum for other circles to replicate that success. When a 1,110-person unit reaches maximum capacity, it buds off to form a new, autonomous unit, connecting with the original through shared narratives and mutual support. Growth mindset multiplies connections rather than fracturing them.

6. Mastering the Recipe: Cook Your Success

To stop reaching for short-term, low-hanging fruit and start cultivating deep, transformative success, commit to these operational principles:

  1. Shift Your Internal Narrative: Recognize that success is manufactured internally before it manifests externally. Stop waiting for top-down instructions.
  2. Practice “I See You” (ICU): Build relationships based on mutual visibility, radical transparency, and shared responsibility rather than control and surveillance.
  3. Form Your Micro-Circle of 10: Gather ten individuals with complementary talents. Establish your group as a safe, non-threatening laboratory for growth.
  4. Execute the 10 × 10 × 10 Matrix: Map your 10 effective people, 10 local hubs, and 10 global diaspora links. Turn abstract networks into active channels of opportunity.
  5. Circulate the Value: Measure your personal success not by what you take from the system, but by the capacity you build in others.

When we change the stories we tell ourselves, we change the way we collaborate. By stepping away from easy wins and mastering the art of collective cooking, we build communities where individual achievement naturally drives universal prosperity. Let us grow together with everyone.
